Pangorge 2020 - PERSERVERANCE
It was the year 2020. A novel corona virus precipitated global pandemic. The changes in our collective chemistry fueled confusion, quarantines, and lockdowns. The future was both dead and alive in a box without hinges, key or lid. Truth was lost in a tempest of catastrophic misinformation, and yet humanity prevailed.
Thirty-nine applications were received by the Pangorge Review Board. Twenty-three fearless warriors were presented the opportunity to persevere in the crucible. Taft Sibley cleared the entire, soul crushing, course using strategy, determination, and a healthy dose of intuition. Hot on his heals was the Ben Friberg dream team. Winners and losers were decided by a measly 3 minutes! Dr. Joe Minton, the oldest racer and 7-year Pangorge veteran, was narrowly squeezed off the podium by the venerable Terry Smith by only 10 minutes! The competition was intense. The show of athleticism, wit, teamwork, encouragement, and love was divine beauty incarnate. Bless!
